Jess Glynne- Always in Between: This is her sophomore album, but I know her as the vocalist on Clean Bandit’s song “Rather Be”. If you like that song, it will absolutely prime you for this release. She totally kills this soulful pop life. Her voice is big and warm, and she fills this album with equal parts pathos and majesty. This is just packed with hits. 8.5/10

MØ- Forever Neverland: I know her from Major Lazer’s song “Lean On”, but this is actually her sophomore release. It’s quite the pop album! Her scratchy, smoky voice fits the music well, and I even enjoyed her guest artists. Really worth checking out. 7.5/10

Animal Collective- Tangerine Reef: The Collective is back, and weirder than ever! This can best be characterized as wordless groaning over the sound of single notes plonking away at random. Sometimes it’s not even that. I don’t understand why people do this. 3/10

Robyn- Honey: This is a downtempo pop album with a really liquid sound, from a lady with a surprising range. I’m honestly not sure how to characterize it, save to say that I liked it a lot more than I might have otherwise thought. Really different. 7.5/10

Rüfüs du Sol- Solace: Formerly known as RÜFÜS. They do really chill indie dance, or at least they do on this release. I was reminded of… someone. Maybe early Muse? I can’t say for sure. All I know is that this was also a good listen, never letting up on energy despite being low-key. 7.5/10
