Lily Allen- Alright, Still: I’ve got one more album, from 2006. This is a lot more easy-going than her later releases, but no less sassy. Guess I’ll need to keep more of an eye on her going forward! 5.5/10

Blink 182- Nine: I tell ya, I do not miss Tom Delonge one bit. That period in the 2000’s where he took over their aesthetic and drove them into weird, artsy post-punk? Don’t miss that, either. And if they sometimes … Continue reading

Charli XCX- Charli: Why is it that so often, an artist will release a non-debut album with their own name boldly printed on the front, as if to suggest that this encapsulates who they are, only to use the opportunity … Continue reading

Lindsey Stirling- Artemis: Hey, Lindsey’s back with an album that includes some of her best stuff! Tracks like “Artemis” and “Til the Light Goes Out” show her moving back to her roots, just violin and dubstep, and it’s great. There … Continue reading

Blank & Jones- #WhatWeDoAtNight: After listening through a bevy of dull easy-listening chillout albums, I was happy to finally get something like the trance music I had been expecting from this duo. To be fair, this isn’t just trance; they … Continue reading

Solarstone- .—-: That’s Morse Code for the number 1. This is a 2017 release by a little-known trance artist, but this isn’t very trancey at first. More like psychedelic ambient. Well, the vocal songs are nice, anyway. Maybe they aren’t … Continue reading

Wolf- Wolf: This was impressive. I hate to call anything that came out in 2000 “old-school”, but this is some old-school, epic speed metal, before it was even really a fully realized genre. Given that this particular release was actually … Continue reading

The Mission- God’s Own Medicine: Again, I know one song from them, but they’ve been around since 1986, so I guess it’s time to listen to everything they ever released. I have to say this is some of the best … Continue reading
